The Theodore Clevenger, Jr. Undergraduate Honors Conference (UHC) gives undergraduate students the opportunity to present their communication studies research in a welcoming academic environment. Held each year in conjunction with the Southern States Communication Association Annual Convention, the UHC brings together undergraduate scholars and faculty from institutions across the region.

For many students, the UHC is their first opportunity to attend and present at a professional academic conference. Students can share their work, meet other Communication Studies students and faculty, learn about communication research across the discipline, and experience firsthand what it means to participate in a professional scholarly community. The UHC has its own submission process and deadline, separate from the general SSCA convention.
