You can get there easily. The Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria is only 14 miles from the Dallas-Forth Worth Airport. Shuttle service is $17.00.
It will be relatively inexpensive. Rooms are $99, about half the price you will pay at our national conventions. Because Dallas is a large hub airport, flight costs should be very competitive. The deadline for booking at the SSCA block rate in Dallas-Addison is March 24, 2006.
Lots to do. There are more than 170 restaurants in Addison, in addition to museums, theatres, clubs, etc. The exquisitely designed Galleria has more than 200 fine shops and stores. Within driving distance are the Texas Rangers baseball park and the Fort Worth Stockyards entertainment district, and of course Dallas.
Convention Features
The Dallas-Addison Convention will feature many workships, speeches, and events. For a complete list, click here.
Convention Theme
The theme for this year is Our Family Values: Defining and Fostering Excellence in Communication Study, Education, and Performance.
For more than 75 years, members of our association have congregated to share ideas, observations, and experiences about studying, teaching, and performing. Identifying and exploring the ideas, acts, and programs that advance our mission can provide guidance and motivation as we step toward our 100th anniversary.
