Communication across the Curriculum Pre-conference
 
Come join us for a full day of CXC discussion on Wednesday, April 5th . We'll begin the day spotlighting a plenary panel of Kathleen Galvin (Northwestern University), Roderick Hart (University of Texas at Austin), and Ann Staton (Texas Woman's University). Following this, experienced facilitators will run workshops on issues of assessment, collaboration with writing, and managing other disciplines. In the afternoon, come hear competitive panels and papers on various CXC issues and join us for a culminating happy hour compliments of Allyn & Bacon/Longman Publishing.

The Cooperative Research Initiative: Advancing Petronio's Communication Privacy Management Theory and Research
Sandra Petronio and Thomas Socha
Participate in a pioneering group project to develop an omnibus study to be carried out at multiple sites about privacy/disclosure/confidentiality in the contexts of families and healthcare.  Anyone who would like to collaborate is welcome to attend.  Instructions and materials will be provided. Plans for completing the collaborative research initiative will be made.
 
Documenting Creative Achievement

This workshop will demonstrate effective ways to document creative work so that its merit can be appreciated by administrators and fellow faculty members serving on evaluation committees.
 
Media Convergence in Dallas

Breakfast Roundtable Discussions
 
On Saturday April 8th, association members will have the opportunity to drink coffee and  have a light breakfast while discussing issues of importance to the profession prior to the start of regular convention programs. Select among 6 topics, each assigned to a specific table and leader.
